Dear parents and prospective parents
Thank you for taking the time to investigate St Amand's Catholic Primary School. We are a
unique school in many ways; in fact we are the only St Amand's school in the country. There is
only one chapel dedicated to St Amand in the country and that is in Hendred House, close to our school. Our school consists of wonderful children, dedicated, talented staff, committed governors and loyal parents. We are located in a beautiful village with fantastic grounds.
We are proud of our 'Good' school (Ofsted, March 2016) with Outstanding for personal development, behaviour and safety. The judgement recognises the diverse curriculum, the outstanding behaviour and attitudes of children, the high standards of education, the very good teaching and pastoral support given to all our children, whether children have special needs or whether they are gifted and talented. However we are much more than this; our school is a place where each child can come to know the love of Jesus in their lives, where they are valued and respected for their uniqueness and where each child is nurtured. We pray together and go to Mass together; we celebrate feast days and special days throughout the church's year. We have a lot of fun and laugh together. As our Mission Statement says ' We love one another as Jesus loves us.'
We are a small school with five classes; staff know the children well, children have many opportunities to take part in competitions or represent the school in some way during their time with us. Children have a strong sense of identity in our small school and their talents are nutured where possible.
I am proud to lead St Amand's as the headteacher, with it's many challenges to overcome and even more successes to celebrate. I have a wonderful staff who give over and above of their time, who strive to make learning fun.
If you would like to visit the school and meet our staff and children, please contact the school office to make an appointment and Debbie will be happy to help. email@example.com
I look forward to meeting you.
